Product Description
Before Nin embraced infamy, he was the most trusted warlord of the Fell King Shakha’Sparr. Honored as the Godfather of the King’s Daughter, Llyta. She was thought to be the focus of Nin’s unwavering protection before his corruption. At the enticement of the human Dread Witch Gruoch, he murdered his liege and led a coup to steal the throne. Nin sacrificed Llyta to the Deep Lords to gain their favor and aid in his quest for power. This final act ultimately ensured the failure of his coup and guaranteed his soul was cursed by God and Mortals alike.
Driven from power, Nin sought shelter in the poison farmlands of the Wastes. The home of many exiles, convicts and unfortunate souls waiting for the sweet release of death. Bonded in their cursed fate and strong lust for power, Nin and Gruoch were never resigned to this end. Soon the ghost of Llyta began to appear to Gruoch, driving her to madness. A death spell weaved by Gruoch to destroy the ghost backfired when a chance interruption botched the incantation. The incantation turned on Gruoch. Her body decaying, trapping her mind and spirit inside a rotting body without the means to communicate.
Unable to part from Gruoch or to kill himself, Nin left the Wastes with her. Still relentlessly plagued by Llyta’s spirit – not vengeful but as loving towards him as she was in life. He wanders the Crucible with his Monstrous family in tow, desperate to find a cure for Gruoch and to regain his lost power among the Saurian tribes. The spirit of Llyta helps and compels him on his quest, knowing, in sadness, how this quest will both fulfill and destroy him.
